This is so far the biggest list of work from home opportunities that I saw. Thanks so much! Since I am into freelancing for almost a year now, what caught my interest are the additional work from home income sources that you provided. Haven’t heard about them, but will try to check and see how things go.
I know online jobs that require you to pick up the phone aren’t exactly popular, but hear me out on this one. As a phone mystery shopper you simply place calls to an assigned shop, ask a couple of questions, and write up a quick report. You don’t need any special experience to be a phone mystery shopper but you should be able to communicate well both when speaking and writing.
When you phone to order something from a catalog or infomercial, a big office with rows of cubicles may come to mind. But the person on the other end of the line is likely to be sitting in a home office. “It’s a huge and growing industry,” Durst says of companies that hire independent contractors to take calls from home. She says the “home-shore movement” started in response to complaints about the many companies that looked offshore for workers. While some websites such as AlpineAccess.com actually hire representatives, most use subcontractors. Just be aware that the pay may be by the minute rather than by the hour, so you may not be paid for time you spend waiting by the phone. A list of companies that hire call center reps can be found at HomeWithTheKids.com.
#5 – NexRep (review) hires sales and customer service agents to work from home. Your job description comprises of taking inbound and outbound calls. The pay is up to $25 per hour and commissioned based.
You would be given a set of that you are to follow in order to test the website. Once you have done so, your work is to provide feedback to the owner of the site. The owner is usually looking to see if their site is easy to navigate and also intuitive.
#49 – ETS is a testing company that pays you to score various tests for different educational institutions. The pay can go up to $20 per hour depending on the tests. Payment is twice a month via check and is tax deductible.
When you work at Convergys, “You will have the flexibility to be hired into the particular window of time and shift time that you are looking to work.” They have a variety of shifts available, including overnight, so you really can make working from home part time work for you.
Then you just need to decide where to sell. Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing is a good place to start. Apple’s iBookstore is another. Or you can create your own e-book file – PDF or ePub – using a program like Calibre and sell it independently through your own website.
These legitimate companies offer various types of data entry jobs that you can do from home. To find out more about what these jobs…MORE entail, read more about online data entry jobs. These are different from transcription jobs, another form of data entry or medical coding. Most transcription jobs usually require a higher skill level than the typical data entry job. The transcription jobs listed on this page are entry level while the transcription jobs in this link require more experience. Likewise, medical coding jobs require more education and experience than the data entry jobs listed here.
Employers often look for proofreaders with a background in English and previous work as a proofreader or copy editor. If you don’t have experience, you might build up your portfolio with freelance projects through a site such as Upwork or Freelancer.
If you’re good with numbers and have organizational skills this could be an amazing opportunity. If you’re not sure how to get started I highly recommend taking Ben Robinson’s free email course on getting started as a work from home bookkeeper.
Thank you so much for this list. I’ve been working at home for 8 months and it has it’s up and downs but I do enjoy the freedom I just wish I could make more. I’m definitely going to look into some of these while I continue my current job because I love it and the products. Thanks autumn.momsprovide.com
