Thank you so much for this information Ashlee! I’m currently trying to save up some extra money to move and buy my first house. I worked retail for over 20 years and I REALLY didn’t want to have to go back into that area part-time along with my full-time job!! I’m really interested in the Rev transcription job – I think I’ll give it a deeper look tonight after work!
We’ve all heard countless pieces of advice on how to make a good impression during a job interview. It is certainly important to show up on time, freshly groomed, appropriately dressed, and ready to impress. Equally important is smiling, not interrupting, providing thoughtful answers, and maintaining good eye contact. In addition, we must not forget critical elements for success like researching the company, giving a firm handshake, keeping mobile devices stored away and of course, following up with a time-honored staple, the thank you note.
Become a dog-sitter. Sure, it sounds kind of out there, but if you love animals, this could be a fun way to earn some extra, occasional or regular money. People in your community can find you through a site like the Rover.com, where you put up a profile and go through Rover’s screening process, which includes a background check. According to the Rover website, you could earn as much as $1,000, and possibly more, every month.
If your parents told you video games were a waste of time, here’s your chance to prove them wrong. Anyone with experience in gaming and a knack for technical support could find part-time work-from-home jobs as a gaming technical support rep.

Hi Alexa, I just want to thank you sincerely for this article – it was such a breath of relief for me (in a BIG way)! I own a small business and am due soon and was hoping for a way to seek out an at-home supplemental income but was only landing on continual scams (and that’s from someone who considers themself a thorough researcher). Again, I cannot thank you enough for all the legitimate links and sources (finally!). I’ll certainly be sharing this article.
Call centers also hire technical support specialists to work remotely. Kate Lister, co-author of “Undress for Success: The Naked Truth About Making Money at Home,” names it as one of her top three “best-bet work-at-home jobs.” And according to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, jobs for computer support specialists (on-site and remote combined) were expected to increase by 18 percent from 2010 to 2020 — much faster than the average for all occupations — with 110,000 new jobs.
Form filling data entry jobs are not very common but you can find them on Internet. Here you have to fill simple forms with given information. Sometimes information is not given and you have to find on your own.
Requirements include a HS diploma or equivalent, the ability to complete your training, multitasking skills, and English fluency. You’re also supposed to fill out a form I-9 “in person,” but you don’t have to go to an Amazon facility to do this. As RRR Facebook member Kristen Dawdy pointed out, “Just let them know and they will work with you. I had the same issue and I just had to go to UPS to get my forms notarized and faxed.”

From my own experience, I’ve used Textbroker to make quick cash for bills. They pay every week on Fridays and if you work a lot every day, you can usually have a substantial amount accumulated by the end of the week — definitely more than the $10 cash out threshold. The only bad thing there is you never know how much work they’ll have up to grab from the order board. But I would say that for me Textbroker has been an excellent source for getting bill money together when I need it quick. Amazon Mturk is another You can cash out there at just $1 and it transfers to your bank account. There is an entire sub-forum about Mturk over at the Work Place Like Home forum where people discuss the best tasks to accept to make the most money. Mturk has a reputation for being just an extra money option, but I know for a fact there are some people making more than just extra money over there.
