This is a great list and I am already do some of these. I coach people in making multiple streams of residual income. But I still think you didn’t mention all of the job boards, especially XPlace. I’ve recently found a great high-paying freelance legal job there. Now I’m working from home and can’t complain about it: this website has higher hourly rates than other ones, a lot of job opportunities in various fields for any level of expertise (it has even entry-level freelance jobs), and no commission fee requirement! I believe these conditions are excellent for freelance experts, and the website is worth mentioning among all the other ones.
Some job boards and company websites require users to create an account when they apply for jobs. It’s a good idea to start your online job search by creating an account on at least one of the major job boards including Monster, CareerBuilder, and Dice for tech jobs. If you’re seeking a professional position, it’s also important to create a profile on LinkedIn.
I agree 100% with you Shelley. Not all of these jobs are high paying. And if you have a service that you want to sell like writing, design, virtual assisting, etc. I find that it’s far better to market yourself and find your own clients. I’ve tried to point out which jobs aren’t going to be very high pay but I might have missed a couple.

Thank you for your unselfish ideas and suggestions. It’s really a big help for people who wished but hesitant to jump in this kind of career, like me. I am a single mom, as in literal single/alone in all responsibilities. I wished to work from home so that I will no longer leave my daughter to our neighbors house when I need to go to work, but I am afraid to leave my current job and risk to a home base job for I think of the stability. I am afraid to put my financial responsibilities at risk, specially I have a child to support.

Hi, first I want to thank you for posting this info. and taking the time to help everyone. I am wondering if there are any jobs posted here that can be done from a smart phone? I’m on the road without a cpu, would like to bring in some extra money. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I just love this list, my husband was none too happy when he found out that I had paid 100 dollars to an online scam…. So getting frustrated and just about giving up hope on getting a job for home I ran across this…. I was just wondering if there happened to be anymore job opportunities now since it has been a couple of years…. I have three children and I want to afford their extracurricular activities such as baseball and gymnastics… I don’t want to get a job that would keep me from taking them to practice and or games so I have been trying the online job search and as I have mentioned its basically one scam after the next…. I just really want to make it a little more easier on my husband since he is working so hard and going to school so our children and I can have a good life. So to make it easier I want to work from home and help some with bills without the cost of childcare and just putting more stress on him… We don’t have a lot of money as it is…
Speaking of being on the telephone, you can take advantage of internet jobs as a call reviewer and get paid to listen in and rate recorded phone calls. Sounds interesting, right? It can be! Most of the time, the calls you are listening to are sales calls. And you’re listening in to see if there was a missed sales opportunity.
Thank you so much for this information Ashlee! I’m currently trying to save up some extra money to move and buy my first house. I’m really interested in the Rev transcription job – I think I’ll give it a deeper look tonight after work!
It’s difficult to be a good parent and simultaneously work well at home, says Durst, because most jobs require blocks of uninterrupted time to accomplish tasks, and children’s schedules are less than predictable. For those who do choose to walk the tightrope between paid work and parenting, consider deadline-oriented work. Durst says it’s generally better for those with younger children than schedule-oriented hourly work.
